Delilah

Age (Estimate):  2 years

Breed/Info: Pointer/ Pyrenees Mix

Delilah is a smart and energetic girl. She walks great on a Gentle Leader and loves to be with her humans. She is completely house broken and loves to lounge around with her foster mom. Because of her size, she does best with large dogs, after proper introduction. She would be a great running buddy and would love to sit on the couch with you after! Delilah loves to sit out in the yard and watch the squirrels and play with all of her toys! She is such a fun loving girl and we would love to see her find her forever family!

Bella

Age (Estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Pointer Mix

Bella joined us from outside of Austin. The shelter reached out to us stating how beautiful and sweet she was. Boy, were they right! She is an amazing girl - quick to adapt and pick up commands. She loves being around her humans. She does well with submissive dogs. Especially submissive dogs that like to play hard. But, would do even better in a home with no dogs so she doesn’t have to share the attention. She's going to be a wonderful companion for that lucky someone! Oh, Bella. She is such an amazing lap dog. She is housebroken and isn’t destructive, so she won’t even need the additional training!

Adoption Fee $100

Susannah

Age (estimate): 3 years

Breed/Info: Piebald Weimaraner

Susannah was another dog brought in from the hoarding situation near Victoria. She is such a sweet girl and has come a tremendous way after spending the first 3-4 years of her life on a property with 150 other dogs. She was pretty shy at the beginning, but has opened up very quickly. She has even gotten to the point of giving little prances when she sees her favorite kennel techs! She loves to lay at her feet and will give lots of tail wags and butterfly kisses for pets. She is still not great on a leash, but would do great in a home with a yard and another chill dog to show her the ropes. She is also good with cats.

Adoption Fee $200

Finnegan

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Vizsla mix

Mr. Finnegan, or Finn for short is a stately gentleman. He is very chill- cool, calm, and collected. He tolerates all of the other dogs he came in with from the hoarding situation, but doesn’t always participate in their ruckus. Finn is cat and dog friendly!

Adoption Fee $200

Faith

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Pointer Mix

This little angel is by far the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She came to us from a shelter in Louisiana, emaciated and covered in mange. With a little TLC, this baby is back to her gorgeous self! Look at that perfect, adorable face! Sweet Faith wants nothing more than to snuggle and love. She does well with most males, and submissive females. She has completed her heart worm treatment, has all of her hair back...the only thing she is missing is you. No cats please.

Adoption Fee: $300

Betty

Age (estimate): 3 years

Breed/Info: English Pointer/Terrier

Imagine being starved and then found wandering the streets with wire tied around your neck. That is what happened to this sweet girl. She sat in a shelter in Lubbock completely shut down, in pain, and heartbroken. Luckily, we had an amazing experienced foster who told us to do what we had to do to get this girl to her so she could begin healing her from the inside out. After looking at her extensive injuries, it appeared that she was tied somewhere for long periods of time unable to move. She had what was equivalent to bed sores...likely from a concrete floor. She was also covered in cuts and scrapes that appeared in line with her possibly being used as a bait dog for dog fighting. BUT, even with all of these things in her past, this girl wants nothing more than to snuggle on the couch. Betty meets everyone with a hug and a kiss and will not take no for an answer. She believes that all laps are hers to crawl into, and that no one should be without a hug, kiss and smile. Betty is everyone’s favorite when they visit the rescue. We think she would be a great emotional support dog, because she will kiss all anxieties away! She is an alpha female and likes it that way, so being in a home with a submissive female, or really any male dog, would be best. She is also amazing with the kittens. She takes care of them like they are her babies.

Ase

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Blue Heeler

Ase, our sweet scared boy has some SUCH a long way! After his original owner died a year ago, Ase was put out on the street with his mate, Violet. Ase and Violet soon had a litter of beautiful babies on the harsh streets of South Texas. After we saved his mate and baby girl, he let us save him as well. However, it has taken him awhile to trust humans. He spent his first month with us cowered in a corner refusing to even leave his room. We learned quickly that Ase likes his ladies. He is just fine with an alpha female bossing him around! He will come out and play and wag his tail. He will even jump up on the couch with us for pets. He still has a long way to go before he trusts everyone and enjoys a real human snuggle, but he would love a home with a female to boss him around. Cat-friendly.

Adoption Fee: $300

Willy

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Terrier/Shepard Mix

Just look at that stubby little sack of cuteness! Willy came to us in a little different fashion than most. One of our wonderful technicians was running a race in Dallas when she spotted two strays. She made sure she took note of where she was so she could return once the race ended. Although, unfortunately one of the dog was no where to be found, it was as if Willy was waiting for her arrival. He has been a center favorite from the second he happily pranced through our door! He is such a sweet, cuddly goober and loves every dog, person, and cat he meets!

Adoption Fee: $300

Riesling

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Terrier/Lab Mix

Riesling is the momma of our 8 wine babies! She came to us along with her pups from Dallas Animal Services. Poor girl sustained a ruptured mammary gland and was then separated from her babies because of it. She wasn’t getting the proper care she so needed so soon it became infected. And of course, they soon tried to euthanize her because she ended up septic. However, we stepped in and said “I DON’T THINK SO!” We soon rescued her along with her babies and all are doing just wonderful! Momma is still recovering but you’d never know! She doesn’t let her wound get in the way of hanging with her fellow fur friends and climbing in anyone’s lap that will have her. Which is obviously everyone because how can you say no to those baby seal eyes!!!

Adoption Fee: $300

The Wine Babies

Breed/Info: Terrier/Lab Mixes

These babies are truly the best! They are all so sweet and snuggly….I mean, what more could you want in a puppy! They are super smart and playful but can also be laid back and relaxed too. We started with 8 and now there are only 3 left…so get a move on and adopt these nuggets while you still can!

Hendrix

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Yellow Lab

Hendrix came to us, along with Honey, from the Weslaco shelter after being placed on the EU list. He is so grateful to have been saved! He is Mr. Personality here. He loves to run around with his toys and play with the other dogs. He loves other big dogs but doesn’t seem to like tiny dogs or cats. He is just a big baby that needs a loving home to cherish him and give him lots of cuddles!

Adoption Fee: $300

Rambo

Age (estimate): 5 years

Breed/Info: Mastiff/Shepard Mix

Rambo is a special dog who has spent the last five years loving and being loved unconditionally. Unlike a lot of our dogs, he has had an amazing life with an amazing owner. That was until a few months ago. Rambo’s owner found out she had terminal cancer. With only weeks to live, she spent as much time with him as she could, and did everything she knew to do to try and find him a family to love him when she left this world. After searching and not being able to find anyone to take the big guy, she made the hardest decision of her life. Living in a community known for dog fighting and mistreating animals, the last thing she could do was leave him to a life of neglect and abuse...so she decided that before she died, she was going to have him peacefully euthanized. As she stood there defeated, holding his leash with tears in her eyes, she told the vet that her worst fear was him ending up on the street, in a high kill shelter, or being used as a bait dog...and pleaded for him to fulfill her wish. Hearing the story, one of the vet techs asked the owner to please let her try and find a home for Rambo. She proceeded to reach out to one of our contacts in the community, and we agreed immediately to help this dog and even made plans to bring him up the following week. Unfortunately, during that time, someone local stepped up and offered to take him in. We were okay with that. After all, all we wanted was to ensure Rambo had a safe home and that his owner could pass in peace knowing he was alive and loved. A few days later, however, our director was looking at the urgent euthanasia list for a small rural shelter in the same area and Rambo was on the list…. This dog had just lost the only person he had ever loved, and now he was abandoned in the one place she feared the most. This could not stand. Thanks to the amazing volunteers at the shelter, we spent two hours at midnight securing his tag and arranging his safe exit from the shelter. Thanks to The Bare Bus Rescue Transport, he was safely transported to San Antonio to be held until he made his way to Dallas. He is now decompressing in a loving foster home until he finds his second forever home!

Wrigley

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Weimer/lab mix

Sweet Wrigley was found wandering the streets alone down south in the valley. He was on the same EU list as Rambo and needed saving ASAP. We were told he was a total sweetheart, walked on a leash, went into his kennel with no problems, and just needed someone to give him a chance. We believed he deserved that chance and boy are we glad we saved him! We think he was originally raised by a bad breeder that threw him out on the streets. He eventually got mange and become emaciated. Besides that, however, he is perfectly healthy and is the biggest baby you’ll ever meet! He has a lot more recovery ahead but we are so excited to see his transformation. We believe he is a weimer/lab mix but we will have a better idea once his fur begins growing back in. He wants nothing more than to snuggle and love (and do little happy wiggles!) Someone may have given up on him in the past, but he has not. He is happy and wants nothing more than to please and just be loved. We love him so much and just want him to find a family that feels the same as we do!

Adoption Fee: $300

Bindi

Age (estimate): 11 months

Breed/Info: German Short Haired Pointer mix

Bindi is just the happiest girl and she is looking for her perfect furever home!  She was adopted as a 4-month old puppy but her family realized she needed a more active home than theirs and they just want the very best for this special girl!  Bindi is very smart and loves to play.  She is friendly and sweet.  She gets along great with other dogs and would love a playmate of her very own.  She has lived with cats and is very sweet with them!  Bindi just wants everyone – people and animals – to love her.  Wouldn’t you like to be the one to give her all that love?

Adoption Fee: $300

Midnight, Rain, & Storm

Age (estimate): 11 weeks

Breed/Info: Labs

These sweet babies were found living outside a Domino’s pizza along with one other sibling and their mother. We were able to rescue these sweet babies but are still in pursuit of the mom and other pup. These three dumplings are just as sweet as can be! They are still getting comfortable at the center, but are adjusting well to the new environment. Rain is a female while the other two are males.

Adoption Fee: $400 each

Whiskey

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Lab mix

Whisky is the sweetest, most trusting and lovable little guy. We think he is around a year old, but he is compact. Probably around 25-30lbs right now, until he gains some weight. He has some injuries and is recovering from mange as well, but this little guy is holding his head high and giving us little tail wags and puppy dog eyes. We already love him so much! Our sweet little Whisky Cake would make the perfect addition to any home. He just need a little extra TLC while he is healing and he will be good as new! All he wants is love and cuddles all the time!

Adoption Fee: $300

Smith

Age (estimate): 4 years

Breed/Info: Great Dane/Pointer Mix

Smith came to us from Weslaco shelter as an owner surrender and was set to be euthanized. We managed to save him at the very last minute! Thank goodness we did because this boy is awesome! He is super sweet with humans, although a little weary of fast movements. This can often be an indication that the past owner was likely unkind and possibly abusive. He is super appreciative of all human attention, and is learning what kittens are. We are still testing him out with dogs of different personalities but has appeared to do well with other submissive playmates. He is simply the sweetest!

Adoption Fee: $300

Elsa

Age (estimate): 3 years

Breed/Info: Pointer Mix

Meet Elsa! This girl isn’t freezing anything...just melting hearts. Elsa’s finder/owner got relocated to Washington and was only able to take 2 of her 5 dogs. She worked very hard to find new homes for the 3 she couldn’t keep, verses them ending up in a shelter. Elsa was found as a stray a couple years ago and has been living with this family until now. She is just the sweetest thing. She loves to just be by your side and give light little butterfly kisses. She is great with other dogs, loves to play, and is fully house broken. She is also great with cats!

Adoption Fee: $300

Annie

Age (estimate): 11 years

Breed/Info: Lab mix

Annie’s owner passed away a short time ago which landed her in the crowded Fort Worth shelter. She is 11 years old and is just the best, sweetest girl. She knows so many tricks and is so well trained. She loves other dogs & cats and simply deserves a family that will give her a home where she can live out her final years. She is heart worm free and actually pretty agile as well!  Just look at the smile!

Adoption Fee: $150

Tilly

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: English Pointer

Tilly had a home once but she was given away for “free” to a hunter in Oklahoma for unknown reasons. Somehow, she was hit by a car and brought to a shelter in Oklahoma. Her new owner decided not to pick her up from the shelter as it was sadly clear she was no longer able to be a hunting dog. She was worthless in his eyes and left to die. Thankfully, this sweet girl’s story is was NOT over!! We are committed to helping this precious girl find the loving home she deserves. The accident left her with a fractured sacrum and a temporary inability to walk. Today, however, she is moving around much better! Her "before" picture is heartbreaking but the more recent ones show just how far this precious girl has come after being shown love. Tilly is super sweet and continues to do well in her foster home but would LOVE a forever home!

Adoption Fee: $300

Cobi

Age (estimate): 6 years

Breed/Info: Beagle Mix

Cobi was an owner surrender by a nice couple who had just had a baby. They loved her but worried about Cobi potentially resource guarding with the new child. Thankfully, they held onto her while we waited for room to open at the rescue. She really is the sweetest dog. She loves people and simply wants to please any person she comes across! She can be dog selective so she will need to go to a home with either compatible dogs or be an only child. We have not cat-tested her yet.

Adoption Fee: $150

Hazel

Age (estimate): under a year

Breed/Info: Pointer Mix

This stunning petite girl was sitting in a holding facility with no way out other than a rescue helping. We simply could not leave this sweet angel behind. She is little weighing in around 20lbs, and we believe she is still a baby. After arriving in our care, we took Hazel to the vet and we were confronted with awful new. Hazel had a diaphragmatic hernia that had pushed her liver and intestines up into her chest cavity, collapsing her lung capacity. She was immediately rushed to a specialist, where she received emergency surgery to save her life. Thankfully, this sweet girl is a fighter and pushed through the trauma. Her surgery was successful and now she is recovering in the comforts of her foster home.

Adoption Fee: $300

Perseus (Persey)

Age (estimate): 1-2 years

Breed/Info: Flat coated retriever mix

Perseus (aka Persey) is hoping for a foster or forever home soon. He came to us along with a group of other dogs from a hoarding property where a woman had over 30 dogs. There were many dogs that were confined to one crate together also. He has come such a long way. From a fearful baby hiding in the corner, to a lovable and excitable dog. He would love a home with another dog or two to play with. He is even okay with cats! All of the babies from this group are submissive and great with other dogs, we would actually highly recommend they be in a home with dogs that can show them the ropes.

Adoption Fee: $300

Capricorn (Cappy)

Age (estimate): 1-2 years

Breed/Info: Flat coated retriever mix

Cappy (aka Capricorn) is the sweetest little soul you will ever meet. He is a quiet boy who likes to observe, and even crawl in your lap. At only around 25lbs, Cappy really is the perfect size to love. Unfortunately, poor Cappy was one of the 12 dogs left in crates with no water and little food for days. Once we had him on a structured food and water schedule, his body couldn’t regulate property and he started having seizures. Of course we rushed him to the vet and they have him on a medication that has completely regulated him with zero issues. He would really love a wonderful family to to call his own. Even if it is temporary. Want to foster or adopt this tiny bundle of love?

Breed/Info: Lab Hound Mix

Much like his twin, Bud, Zeus is totally laid back and just happy to be wherever he can get a little love and attention. He is good with all dogs, cats and humans. In other words, he is pretty much perfect. It is amazing how resilient this latest group of hoarding dogs has been. Bonus...he is already neutered!

Judge

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Plott Hound

“Yes, Judge, that beautiful boy in the mirror is the sweetest, most mild mannered, happy boy in the world...even with scars, an injured eye and a piece of metal sticking out of your leg.” Judge came to us from DAS as a stray, so we don’t know exactly how he obtained these injuries. What we do know is that they haven’t stopped him from loving everyone and everything he meets. He hasn’t met a stranger yet, ignores cats and does well work all dogs. We think he is pretty close to perfect. Of note, the vet feels that he is likely blind in the one injured eye, but has adapted well and is in no pain. So, they do not plan to put him through an unnecessary procedure.

Adoption Fee: $300

Iris & Anastasia

Age (estimate): 19 weeks

Breed/Info: English Pointers

These sweet siblings were found as strays and taken to a shelter in Oklahoma. Even though they were puppies, they were placed on the EU list and were at high risk. We couldn’t let that happen! Thanks to our transporters we were able to get them to Texas. They were full of worms, covered in ticks, and seriously emaciated. Each day they are getting better and growing larger!

Adoption Fee: $400 each

Odi

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Vizsla

We don't know Odi's story but by the looks of it, he hasn't had it easy. He was found wandering the streets in Houston, emaciated and with a bad skin condition. After being rescued and placed in foster care, he went to the vet and was diagnosed with an eye infection, mange, an ear infection, and whip worms. He has also been put on five different medications to help get him healthy again. He is terribly sweet but can get overwhelmed when with other pups so he would be best in a single dog home!

Adoption Fee: $300

Colt

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Pointer Mix

Colt was abandoned by his owner at a holding facility down south. The holding facility is not open to the public so they almost never can get adopted there and are quickly euthanized. Thanks to our connections, we were able to sneak him out. Colt is great with other dogs, is laid back and is super sweet! Yet to be cat-tested.

Adoption Fee: $300
