Delilah

Age (Estimate):  2 years

Breed/Info: Pointer/ Pyrenees Mix

Delilah is a smart and energetic girl. She walks great on a Gentle Leader and loves to be with her humans. She is completely house broken and loves to lounge around with her foster mom. Because of her size, she does best with large dogs, after proper introduction. She would be a great running buddy and would love to sit on the couch with you after! Delilah loves to sit out in the yard and watch the squirrels and play with all of her toys! She is such a fun loving girl and we would love to see her find her forever family!

Bella

Breed/Info: Pointer Mix

Bella is joining us from outside of Austin.  The shelter reached out to us stating how beautiful and sweet she is. She is an amazing girl - quick to adapt and pick up commands. She loves being around humans and other compatible pups. While she has been with us, she has worked diligently on her training and she's learning how to properly play and interact with other pups and feel at ease when they are around. She has made tremendous progress and we are so proud! She's going to be a wonderful companion for that lucky someone!

Tilly

Age (Estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: English Pointer

Look at her fly!!! This is Tilly. She had a home once but she was given away for “free” to a hunter in Oklahoma for unknown reasons. Somehow, she was hit by a car and brought to a shelter in Oklahoma. Her new owner decided not to pick her up from the shelter as it was sadly clear she was no longer able to be a hunting dog. She was worthless in his eyes and left to die. Thankfully, this sweet girl’s story is was NOT over!! We are committed to helping this precious girl find the loving home she deserves. The accident left her with a fractured sacrum and a temporary inability to walk. Today, however, she is moving around much better! Her "before" picture is heartbreaking but the more recent ones show just how far this precious girl has come after being shown love. Tilly is super sweet and continues to do well in her foster home but would LOVE a forever home!

Dolly

Age (Estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Pointer mix

Meet Dolly! This happy girl is ready to start the next exciting chapter of her life! Dolly is super smart and completely housebroken! She can get a bit skittish around younger kids so we think a home with older (12+) or no kids would be her best match. She loves to play and gets along great with other dogs. She is a total sweetheart and enjoys her walks with her human and does great on the leash. This sweet girl would love to find her furever home where she can be loved and spoiled the rest of her years!

Faith

This little angel is by far the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She came to us from a shelter in Louisiana, emaciated and covered in mange. Look at that perfect, adorable face!

Betty

Age (estimate): 3 years

Breed/Info: English Pointer/Terrier

Imagine being starved and then found wandering the streets with wire tied around your neck. That is what happened to this sweet girl. She sat in a shelter in Lubbock completely shut down, in pain, and heartbroken. Luckily, we have an amazing experienced foster who told us to do what we had to do to get this girl to her so she could begin healing her from the inside out. After looking at her extensive injuries, it appears that she was tied somewhere for long periods of time unable to move. She has what is equivalent to bed sores...likely from a concrete floor. She is also covered in cuts and scrapes that appear in line with her possible being used as a bait dog for dog fighting. BUT, even with all of these things in her past, this girl wants nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with her foster. She is an angel! So sweet and forgiving!

Adoption Fee: $300

Royal

Royal came to us from Dallas Animal Services with 9 beautiful puppies. Not only was she the most caring mother to her babies, she shows as much compassion when she meets humans! She is full of playful joy and is truly such a love. Whenever she would see one of us holding her babies, she’d trot over, sniff, give them a kiss, and then climb in your lap as well to get the same love! All she wants is cuddles and to be taken care of with as much love by a family in the same way she took care and loved her own.

Adoption Fee: $300

Age (estimate): 19 weeks

Breed/Info: Lab/Terrier Mix

Soon after arriving at our rescue, Will and his sister Gracie (adopted) broke with the horrible Parvo virus. We kept them with a foster while they battled and thankfully both won!!! After multiple trips to the ER and vet, we are so very happy to announce that this brother and sister are healthy and will never be at risk if that nasty disease again! Will is a spunky little baby who love to play and cuddle. True to his namesake, Will knows no stranger and likes to sit back and take everything in before he commits to his next move.

Ase

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Blue Heeler

Ase is the daddy of baby Blossom. After his original owner died a year ago, he was put out on the street with his mate, Violet. Just like the rest of his family, he is the sweetest! Look how beautiful he is!

Adoption Fee: $300

Gigi

Age (estimate): 6 years

Breed/Info: Pointer

This sweet girl came to us as an owner surrender from Oklahoma. However, unlike most owner surrenders, we actually had to rescue her from her owner. The owner threatened that if no one came they were going to shoot her. Apparently, she would no longer hunt for the length of time the owner wanted her to. We can’t fathom how someone could end any dogs life, especially a dog as sweet as Gigi. She is decompressing with her foster currently, but is taking some time to understand home living since she was forced to spend her entire life outside in a run exposed to the elements. She great with other dogs and love every person she meets. She has yet to be cat tested.

Adoption Fee: $300

Willy

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Terrier/Shepard Mix

Just look at that stubby little sack of cuteness! Willy came to us in a little different fashion than most. One of our wonderful technicians was running a race in Dallas when she spotted two strays. She made sure she took note of where she was so she could return once the race ended. Although, unfortunately one of the dog was no where to be found, it was as if Willy was waiting for her arrival. He has been a center favorite from the second he happily pranced through our door! He is such a sweet, cuddly goober and loves every dog, person, and cat he meets!

Adoption Fee: $300

Riesling

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Terrier/Lab Mix

Riesling is the momma of our 8 wine babies! She came to us along with her pups from Dallas Animal Services. Poor girl sustained a ruptured mammary gland and was then separated from her babies because of it. She wasn’t getting the proper care she so needed so soon it became infected. And of course, they soon tried to euthanize her because she ended up septic. However, we stepped in and said “I DON’T THINK SO!” We soon rescued her along with her babies and all are doing just wonderful! Momma is still recovering but you’d never know! She doesn’t let her wound get in the way of hanging with her fellow fur friends and climbing in anyone’s lap that will have her. Which is obviously everyone because how can you say no to those baby seal eyes!!!

Adoption Fee: $300

Magnolia

Age (estimate): 2 years

Breed/Info: Lab Mix

Magnolia was completely shut down at the shelter in Lubbock, TX. She refused to even move. The volunteers and staff kept trying to work with her, but she wouldn’t respond…even to being petted and loved on. She was broken. Until one of our fosters broke her out of the shelter and took her. Within 24 hours, she was an entirely new dog! She is just the best! She loves to be brushed, loves to sit for treats, and can’t get enough of playing with her toys. She’s just a sweetheart that needs someone to cuddle with all the time!

Adoption Fee: $300

Luke

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Pointer mix

Kelsey (adopted) and Luke’s momma is making the ultimate sacrifice for her country, and for her rescue babies.

Our beloved Mattie is leaving the rescue to join the Air Force, and doesn’t know where she will be stationed...or when she would be able to bring her babies to be with her. She has bravely asked that we help her find the perfect families for them before she leaves for basic training next month. Both Kelsey and Luke are kennel trained, house broken, are good with dogs, cats and children, and are just the sweetest babies!

Let’s ensure she is able to leave with peace that her babies are safe and happy in forever loving homes. They do not have to be adopted together.

Adoption Fee: $300

Hendrix

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Yellow Lab

Hendrix came to us, along with Honey, from the Weslaco shelter after being placed on the EU list. He is so grateful to have been saved! He is Mr. Personality here. He loves to run around with his toys and play with the other dogs. He loves other big dogs but doesn’t seem to like tiny dogs or cats. He is just a big baby that needs a loving home to cherish him and give him lots of cuddles!

Adoption Fee: $300

Rambo

Age (estimate): 5 years

Breed/Info: Mastiff/Shepard Mix

Rambo is a special dog who has spent the last five years loving and being loved unconditionally. Unlike a lot of our dogs, he has had an amazing life with an amazing owner. That was until a few months ago. Rambo’s owner found out she had terminal cancer. With only weeks to live, she spent as much time with him as she could, and did everything she knew to do to try and find him a family to love him when she left this world. After searching and not being able to find anyone to take the big guy, she made the hardest decision of her life. Living in a community known for dog fighting and mistreating animals, the last thing she could do was leave him to a life of neglect and abuse...so she decided that before she died, she was going to have him peacefully euthanized. As she stood there defeated, holding his leash with tears in her eyes, she told the vet that her worst fear was him ending up on the street, in a high kill shelter, or being used as a bait dog...and pleaded for him to fulfill her wish. Hearing the story, one of the vet techs asked the owner to please let her try and find a home for Rambo. She proceeded to reach out to one of our contacts in the community, and we agreed immediately to help this dog and even made plans to bring him up the following week. Unfortunately, during that time, someone local stepped up and offered to take him in. We were okay with that. After all, all we wanted was to ensure Rambo had a safe home and that his owner could pass in peace knowing he was alive and loved. A few days later, however, our director was looking at the urgent euthanasia list for a small rural shelter in the same area and Rambo was on the list…. This dog had just lost the only person he had ever loved, and now he was abandoned in the one place she feared the most. This could not stand. Thanks to the amazing volunteers at the shelter, we spent two hours at midnight securing his tag and arranging his safe exit from the shelter. Thanks to The Bare Bus Rescue Transport, he was safely transported to San Antonio to be held until he made his way to Dallas. He is now decompressing in a loving foster home until he finds his second forever home!

Adoption Fee: $300

Bandit

Age (estimate): 3 years

Breed/Info: Pointer/Hound Mix

Bandit was found as a stray with his sister and taken to the shelter in San Diego, TX. Their owners were found and contacted but neither had interest in taking Bandit or his sister back home. While there, his sister got tagged by a rescue group leaving Bandit alone. That’s when we were contacted by a local volunteer leading us to take Bandit in as a Cane Rosso dog! This boy is truly the sweetest! He deserves a home that won’t ever throw him away again. He is good with other dogs and walks well on leash. He is laid back and just wants to cuddle!

Adoption Fee: $300

Wrigley

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Weimer/lab mix

Sweet Wrigley was found wandering the streets alone down south in the valley. He was on the same EU list as Rambo and needed saving ASAP. We were told he was a total sweetheart, walked on a leash, went into his kennel with no problems, and just needed someone to give him a chance. We believed he deserved that chance and boy are we glad we saved him! We think he was originally raised by a bad breeder that threw him out on the streets. He eventually got mange and become emaciated. Besides that, however, he is perfectly healthy and is the biggest baby you’ll ever meet! He has a lot more recovery ahead but we are so excited to see his transformation. We believe he is a weimer/lab mix but we will have a better idea once his fur begins growing back in. He wants nothing more than to snuggle and love (and do little happy wiggles!) Someone may have given up on him in the past, but he has not. He is happy and wants nothing more than to please and just be loved. We love him so much and just want him to find a family that feels the same as we do!

Adoption Fee: $300

Artemis

Age (estimate): 10 months to 1 year

Breed/Info: Newfoundland/ Bernese Mountain Dog mix

Artemis is the life of the party! He came to us from DAS after being found as a stray. He is just a big fluffy puppy ready to play with whoever accepts the challenge. He loves giving hugs, getting belly rubs, and playing with his friends in the play yard. The best way to describe him is truly a big old goof ball!

Bindi

Age (estimate): 11 months

Breed/Info: German Short Haired Pointer mix

Bindi is just the happiest girl and she is looking for her perfect furever home!  She was adopted as a 4-month old puppy but her family realized she needed a more active home than theirs and they just want the very best for this special girl!  Bindi is very smart and loves to play.  She is friendly and sweet.  She gets along great with other dogs and would love a playmate of her very own.  She has lived with cats and is very sweet with them!  Bindi just wants everyone – people and animals – to love her.  Wouldn’t you like to be the one to give her all that love?

Adoption Fee: $300

Perry

Age (estimate): 8-9 weeks

Breed/Info: Corgi/terrier mix

Little Perry was found wandering down a road in a bad neighborhood all alone when a young boy found him. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep him and decided to post him online as a free. Of course this would not most likely not have ended well so our contact in the valley grabbed him before he became a bait dog. He is now living the good life in a foster home but would love a forever home to call his own!

Adoption Fee: $400

Priestly

Age (estimate): 10-12 weeks

Breed/Info: Shepard/lab mix

Much like her friend Perry, Priestly was living in a barn and posted as “free to a good home” down south. A local contact grabbed her before she could became a bait dog. She is just the sweetest thing and so stunning! All white with blue eyes?! She is so hard to resist!

Adoption Fee: $400

Olive

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Pointer/border collie mix

Poor Olive was at the San Benito holding facility where she had 72 hours for her owner to come, or she would be immediately euthanized. Luckily, we were able to sneak her out to one of our fosters down south who housed her for nearly a week to help her decompress. Olive is now a lot happier and safer at the rescue center. She is a little sweetheart that loves humans and play well with other dogs. Unfortunately, however, she does not appear to be a huge fan of cats or puppies. She is a cuddle bug looking for a forever home!

Adoption Fee: $300

Kassie

Age (estimate): 7 years

Breed/Info: Vizsla

Kassie is a pure bred Vizsla that was used for breeding field dogs for 6 years, until they transitioned her to a new family last year. Apparently her new family didn’t care enough to look for her after recent flooding, or to even update her microchip (because the chip led the finder back to the breeder). Once confirming no one wanted her back, we jumped into action and one of our volunteers went to pick her up. The amazing finder took wonderful care of her and took her to the vet to confirm she was healthy. She is so sweet though it is our understanding that she isn’t a huge fan of living in a home with another alpha female. She is simply looking for a forever home where she can be shown love and give love!

Adoption Fee: $150

Drew

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Labrador Retriever

Drew came to us from Weslaco shelter after being placed on the EU list. He truly is the sweetest. He loves to snuggle and play with his foster sibling! Want a beautiful young pup to add to your family? Drew is your boy!!

Adoption Fee: $300

Wicket

Age (estimate): 4 years

Breed/Info: Labradoodle

Our sweet Wicket just can’t win. After being saved from a hell hole breeding situation with 150+ other dogs, covered in mats and her own excrement, she received some bad news. Wicket has apparently been suffering for years from severe hip dysplasia, leading to her needing TWO full hip replacements. Wicket is going to need a calm and patient family who will allow her time to heal. The rescue will be footing the bill for her medical care. She is so sweet and deserves a family that will finally give her the life every dog deserves. With a little TLC she will be able to blossom into a happy, healthy pup!

Adoption Fee: $300

Mattie

Age (estimate): 4 years

Breed/Info: Labradoodle

Mattie came from the same horrible hoarding case as Wicket. Just like her pal, she is also timid and adjusting slowly to life outside a metal cage. She is very friendly and sweet but will need a patient home that will help her transition to a life where she feels safe and can trust humans again.

Adoption Fee: $300

Apollo

Age (estimate): 1 year

Breed/Info: Lab Mix

Apollo was originally adopted as a puppy from DAS. However, the adopters did not take very good care of him and he ended up back at DAS after being picked up as a stray. They either couldn’t get a hold of the owners or the owners chose to leave him at the shelter. Apollo deserves some much better! He is the absolute sweetest baby! He is great with other dogs and every person he meets.

Adoption Fee: $300
