Atlas is every bit the classic Weimaraner — sensitive, intelligent, and deeply connected once he trusts you. True to his breed, he can be a little nervous at first, taking his time to assess new people, places, and situations. He prefers to explore at his own pace, sniffing out every detail before deciding he’s ready to engage.
Once Atlas feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal side shines through. He bonds deeply, loves companionship, and thrives with patience, understanding, and a calm, confident person by his side. This handsome boy will reward the right home with unwavering devotion and that unmistakable Weimaraner charm.
Backstory of Atlas:
He was purchased from a breeder in Missouri as a puppy. Christmas present for dad.
Adult child ended up taking care of Atlas. Adult child is moving to college and can not afford to take Atlas with him.
He has not shared a home with another pet but he did go to dog parks.
Atlas turns 2 years old in December. He is good with other dogs cats and kids who are appropriate around dogs. He would do well in a variety of homes, including one that understands shy dogs.
