Not every dog knows how to “dog” right away.
Lucy is still learning how to make sense of the world—and that’s exactly why she’s still with us.
She didn’t get the early socialization that helps dogs feel safe and confident, so new people and environments can be a lot to take in. Lucy isn’t fearful—just unsure. New things take her a little longer to process. She’s still figuring out where she fits and how to navigate the world.
Lucy has been living in boarding and completed professional training to help her build confidence and routine. And she’s made real progress! But a kennel is no place for a dog like Lucy. She deserves a home.
We are urgently searching for a unicorn foster or adopter—someone calm, patient, and willing to take their time learning all things Lucy. She needs someone who will help her continue to grow, make her feel safe, and help her discover just how good life can be.
A training consult is included with her adoption to help set everyone up for success.
Lucy would love another friendly dog in the home to play with and learn from. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and has a sweet and silly side once she’s comfortable.
