Oreo is a 3.5 year-old male Pointer mix with a heart as big as his playful personality. This handsome pup is the perfect combination of fun-loving, athletic, and incredibly smart, making him an ideal companion for an active family or individual looking for a loyal sidekick.

Rescued from a Kansas City shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia, Oreo is now safe and eager to start his next chapter. Our medical coordinator was visiting family in the area and saw him and quickly decided he should be a CRR dog!

Here’s the Oreo story: Oreo has been with us for 151 days. Foster or adopter desperately needed. We can’t keep doing this to him. We’re a rescue, not a forever, and he deserves more.

He’s not in a cozy foster home. He’s sitting in a boarding facility, living in a crate, day after day — watching the world move on without him. We’re running out of ideas and options, and we don’t know what to do anymore.

He’s a good dog. He’s trying so hard to be patient. But this isn’t a life and we feel awful that he’s not getting what we promised him… a chance for that good dog life.
